don't sleep on dead city.
Cally's new play opened this weekend to great reviews from NYTimes, Variety, and TheaterMania. It's produced by New Georges and is being staged at Kevin Cunningham's newly minted 3-Legged Dog performance space.
I went to see it last night and found it fantasmic except that I had trouble hearing the actors at times. (Note to New Georges: grab a couple of DVI extension cables and put those G5s under the bleachers. Note to audience: sit near the front of the bleachers, away from the G5s.)
If you're in NYC anytime this month, you should go. If you buy through SmartTix, use code "NGWEB" for a nice discount! (Found via Barry Hoggard.)
Oh yeah, and the Voice did a feature on Cally. As did TONY. And both have some of the dorkiest photos of Sheila ever.
Friends of Cally used to wonder when folks were going to stop sleeping on her work...
... well look who's sleeping now, bizach! ;)
Yay for Cally!

You are a horrible man. Get rid of that.
(And thanks for the plug.)
