how to output a single full screen quicktime movie to two monitors in windows.
This is less a blog post and more a note for me to come back to later.
If you have a single 2048x768 quicktime movie that you have to play back full screen, spanned across two monitors, there is no simple elegant software solution. Do not spend two weeks trying to solve it with Flash movies, the DivX codec, or video wall software. Just buy a GeForce-based Nvidia graphics card and enable "horizontal spanning" in the bundled nView software. This works well for high resolution dual channel video art installations. Do not forget to read this post when you search for it again later.
(thx Rob!)
