i promise to make this my only meth post ever...

...unless it's about that other Meth.

The only thing I've ever enjoyed about meth are those insanely trippy ads I used to see in Chelsea every day. That is, until it got branded an Epidemic® by The Network this year.

You know it's a relatively slow news summer for the Horrors-at-Home stories when meth makes the cover of Newsweek. But my cynical ass shouldn't complain. Because when the mainstream gets hold of a big ol' batch o' stupid, I get to read stories like these until I'm high on infoporn:

Ore. to fight meth by putting cold drugs behind counter

Rep. Mark Souder (R-Ind.) is... criticizing the Department of Health and Human Services for supporting a conference that discusses harm-reduction approaches to battling meth use.

Police say... bike thefts are skyrocketing because crystal meth users... find disassembling bikes and fiddling with bike parts satisfies their need to keep their hands busy while on the drug.

That last one was so funny, I had to pull a second quote from it as well:

"They sit in the bush with hundreds of parts just fiddling with them all day."

Oh Big Media. Don't you ever change.

Actually, I thought bike thefts have been skyrocketing in NYC over the last year because police have been stealing bicycles en masse on the last firday of each month during Critical Mass rides.

Call me crazy, but if I had to become a bike mechanic to get high, I would be in the bushes trying to frantically work out the parts too. Although I have noticed homeless people get mesmorized by soda cans. They collect em! It's almost a form of autism. I think it's the fact that they shine and are all different colors. They'll just carry them around all day. Really weird.
