Finalists for IndTV's 'Pilot Project' contest up.

Just got wind that the finalists for IndTV's Pilot Project contest are up for people to vote on. There are a good bunch of videos up there (sorry, it's single-page Flash-based so I can't forward URLs of my favorite clips to you.) including a nice piece [warning: QuickTime, 103MB] by octomoto's Jose Serrano. IndTV is going to be an interesting player to watch in the participatory media space in that they're working to graft a ground-up production model on top of what's traditionally been a top down media space. With precedents like Free Speech TV, LinkTV, and the entire public access television ecosphere to build off of and learn from, I wish them well. With big names, big money, and some actual cablecast real estate to back it up, I'm sure they'll have a fine time of it. (Can't wait to see how they decide to run the licensing thing.) In the meantime, the contest is pretty cool and worth checking out.
