samsung's 25fps streaming video phone
sprintpcsinfo has posted some general specs on samsung's next interesting cameraphone - the a700. this one is truly special b/c it's a videophone. it records 25fps or streams 15fps with support for 3gpp, 3gpp2, and the h.263 codecs.i'm expecting a streaming video phone to eventually do for community television what cell phones in general did for community radio - they allowed these stations to compete with the big bois by enabling them to deliver live reports from the field at a much cheaper cost. even if public access doesn't picks up on this, i'm sure cnn will. either way, i think i found my next camcorder. damn. just when i was about to switch away from sprint, too!
